Doctor Oz Blended Soup Recipes featuring the Belly Busting Soup with Chick Peas

RECIPE INGREDIENTS

  • 1 (14 1/2 ounce) can diced fire-roasted tomatoes, with medium chilies
  • 1 (15 ounce) can chickpeas
  • 2 garlic cloves, chopped
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 2 tablespoons chili powder
  • 1/4 cup lime juice
  • 1/2 cup fresh cilantro, freshly chopped
RECIPE INSTRUCTIONS
  1. Add tomatoes, chick peas, garlic, broth, chili powder, and Mushroom Powder to your Blendtec blender or a Vitamix blender. Blend on a lower speed then increase to a higher speed until the mixture is a Puree.
  2. Transfer mix to a large pot and bring to the boil; lower the heat and simmer for about 10 minutes.
  3. Blendtec blender: Press the Whole Juice button, or let the blender run on a high speed for around 1 minute or until creamy.
  4. Vitamix blender Instructions: Turn the knob to Soup and turn the blender on.  If you don’t have a Vitamix blender with the automatic soup preset then start on speed 1/low, slowly turn the knob to speed 10, then flip it to high.  Let it run for around 6 minutes or until steaming hot.
  5. To serve, stir in lime juice and cilantro. Enjoy!
