  1. 1 cup water (or 1/2 cup water and 1/2 cup ice)
  2. 1 1/2 lemons, peeled and seeded
  3. 1 apple, cored and sliced
  4. pinch of cayenne pepper
  5. A little honey or stevia to sweeten (if desired)

RECIPE INSTRUCTIONS
  1. Put all the ingredients (except for the sweetener) into your Vitamix, Blendtec, or high-speed blender.
  2. Blend for around 45 seconds or until your detox lemonade smoothie is nice and smooth.
  3. If using, stir in honey or stevia to sweeten your detox drink.NOTES: Adjust the water and ice to the consistency you like. Choose your sweetener based on your dietary needs: stevia is a plant-based calorie-free sweetener; honey has calories but offers other health benefits. For hotter days, you can add a lot more ice and stevia for a refreshing slushy-type smoothie.
