Cashew Milk
Homemade Cashew Milk
If you are looking for an easy nut milk to make then Cashew milk is your answer. When the cashews are blended with water, it naturally turns into creamy cashew milk and it tastes absolutely amazing without any sweeteners. The nice thing about cashews is that they break apart easily, they are soft easy to chew and are great for blending. They contain no saturated fats and are cholesterol free, a great alternative to cow’s milk.
You’ll find differences in tastes you get from homemade cashew milk and store bought cashew milk; the store bought milks enrich their products with sugars and additives to give it a more fuller taste and are also fortified with vitamins and minerals to make up for the fact that they don’t naturally have certain nutrients that cow milks have. At home you can add in certain nutrients such as superfood powders, which will give you much more nutrients than store bought will.
Pros to cashew milk:
- They are cholesterol free and have no saturated fats.

The cashew tree is a tropical evergreen that produces the cashew nut. Cashews are chock full of copper, phosphorus, manganese, magnesium, and zinc. They are great sources of monounsaturated fats, which lower LDL cholesterol and are protective against cardiovascular disease. Studies show that people who consume cashews and other nuts are more likely to manage their weight.
Fresh homemade cashew milk is better than store bought cashew milk because you can add more natural nutrition into the blend vs not knowing what’s in your milk. Enriched store bought nut milks have very little nutrition, a lot of times companies add just a small handful of nuts and a lot of water, additives, and sugars to make it complete.
Cashews are the easiest nut to break apart, which is great for the smooth taste you’ll get from a blender. You shouldn’t need a strainer with cashew milk, it comes out smooth right from the blender jar or container.
Look into getting a high powered blender, you will be much more happier with your results.
