Dr. Fuhrman Black Bean Hummus Great Blender Dip Recipe
Dr. Fuhrman Black Bean Hummus Recipe
- 1 1/2 cups cooked black beans or 1 15 ounce can low-sodium black beans, drained and rinsed
- 2 tablespoons filtered water
- 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
- 2 tablespoons Dr.Furhman’s VegiZest or other no-salt seasoning
- 2 tablespoons raw tahini
- 2 teaspoons Bragg Liquid Aminos or low-sodium soy sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1/2 clove garlic, chopped
- dash cayenne pepper
- dash paprika, for garnish
- Put all ingredients, except paprika, in your blender jar.
- Blendtec blender: Press the Whole Juice button, or let the blender run on a high speed for around 1 minute or until liquified.
- Vitamix blender: Turn the knob to Whole Juice and flip the on switch. If you don\’t have the automatic preset then start on speed 1/low, slowly turn the knob to speed 10, then flip it to high. Let it run for around 1 minute.
- Scrape down the sides of blender jar as needed. Add more seasoning to taste. Add more water to achieve desired consistency. Garnish with paprika.
